Baby swimming is back
Baby swimming is back

Good news! Baby swimming lessons will be restarted in the UK on the 12th of April, 2021.

This comes as swimming pools and gyms are now allowed to open following an improvement in the COVID situation.

You can read the full/latest announcement on the Gov.uk site here.

Outdoor gyms and swimming pools were allowed to reopen from the 29th March.

However indoor venues such as indoor swimming pools, gyms and leisure centres are only allowed to open from the 12th April.

Please check with your local swimming pool before attending.

Some venues may not have re-opened yet for various reasons, and/or there may be important information you need to be aware of before you attend.

Will there be any changes?

According to an article on the Splash About blog baby swimming lessons providers should have been trained in how to deal with hygiene and similar post-COVID.

Baby swimming lesson providers have all been trained on COVID-19 safety measures and are well prepared to open the doors to their customers. You will notice even more rigorous cleaning of communal areas and plenty of hand sanitising facilities. Teachers will provide lessons adhering to social distancing measures, whilst ensuring your experience is not adversely affected.
